Imagination rules the world

Are we in the 18th, 16th or in the 20th century? Atmospheres that take us far away, to different times and places.

To be believed makes the truth unbelievable

Every room, every corner here tells a story, through shadows and lights, colours, black-and-whites, transparencies and opacities, tangibility and abstractions.

True character stands the test of great circumstances

Pieces of furniture, paintings, lamps and decors were collected during our travels, at local markets and antique shops. All of them are enriched with the lives of their creators and users. This feature makes them distinct and unique.

You never feel so much love as when you see your beloved again

For objects and persons, as well as for food, passion stems from our eyes and spreads through our other senses. Taste is the King of our map of flavours.

For every tree its own fruit. You reap what you sow

This is a quote from Napoleon, but it was also attributed to many others, including Plato. When you reap what you sow, you get a quality harvest that turns into a celebration once it gets to the table.

A head without memory is like a fortress without a garrison

Italian and Tuscan food traditions are the basics of our cuisine: a blended memory of contaminations topped with creativity that would not be possible without today’s interpretation of the traditional model.

There is no subordination and no fear with empty stomachs

You can start with a drink, have an antipasto, a first course with truffle, a grilled main course, a special dessert… until your pleasure and taste are satisfied.

All great events hang by a hair

It is the smallest details that make perfection. Just like hidden treasures, they are even bigger than the big things.

Reserve a table at Napoleone

Reserve a table for dinner, a private meeting, or a first date. Sharing a table is worth for every occasion. According to the saying “in vino veritas” (in wine lies the truth), we can as well say “in cibo identitas” (in food lies identity)

You can find us in Piazza del Carmine, in the heart of the Oltrarno area, one of the most lively and attractive neighbourhoods in Florence and, on a wider scale, in Italy. The Oltrarno is one of the few last original Florentine areas, thanks to its artisan shops. It is also one of the hippest neighbourhoods, with its clubs and restaurants.

The outdoors tables are placed in front of the Basilica di Santa Maria del Carmine and the Cappella Brancacci, a little treasure with its frescos from Masaccio, Filippo Lippi and Masolino.
